Commentary: Apple may take a page out of Samsung's book and bring a thin design to its long-rumored foldable. It could be the innovation leap it so desperately needs.

At this point, I don’t know what it would take for Samsung to engineer its way to a bigger slice of the US market, where Apple dominates. The consumer lock-in of iOS and the Apple product range is just too great.
