A Delta Air Lines passenger recalls the moment he thought he was going to die when the airplane went belly-up after crashing onto the runway at Toronto Pearson Airport.

Their seemingly generous offer may have flopped. The first lawsuits following the Delta Air Lines crash in Toronto last week have been filed — despite Delta officials offering $30,000 to each passenger on the plane that flipped over on its approach to the airport.

Delta said that claims spreading online alleging the captain and first officer had failed training events were false, and both crew members are Federal Aviation Administration-certified for their positions.
