Five immigrants deported by the United States to the small southern African nation of Eswatini under the Trump administration’s secretive third-country program are in prison, where they will be held in solitary confinement for an undetermined time.

The US has deported immigrants from Vietnam, Jamaica, Laos, Cuba and Yemen to Eswatini in Southern Africa following a recent Supreme Court ruling on third country deportations.

Five deported immigrants from the US have been imprisoned in Eswatini under the Trump administration's third-country plan. Despite US claims of criminal backgrounds, Eswatini aims to repatriate them.

Eswatini's government said on Wednesday that it was holding five third-country nationals deported from the United States in isolated prison units under a deal with President Donald Trump's administration,

The United States has dispatched five men to the small African nation of Eswatini as part of the Trump administration's expansion of its third-country deportation program, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday.
