Chipmaker Intel Corp. announced plans to sell and lease back its Folsom site nearly a month after the technology giant said it would be laying off nearly 300 employees​ at the site in November.

The expansive Folsom Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) campus includes 1.5 million square feet of office, test floor and lab space through seven large buildings, and is one of the company’s largest sites. Intel spokeswoman Addy Burr confirmed the company intends to list the Folsom campus for sale, and lease back the space it needs.

The chipmaker is reducing its real estate holdings around the world as it works to cut $10 billion in spending.
