The Gathering' is taking its next big risk: a full-on leap into science fiction. A certain Star franchise may have boldly declared space the final frontier, but for Magic: The Gathering, it’s only the beginning.

Magic: The Gathering is venturing into a new genre with the science fantasy set Edge of Eternities, a space opera set in a rich world featuring a holy war, the return of the Eldrazi, and spaceships that can travel through the planets of the Sothera system.

If this card sounds a bit familiar, that's because it's actually part of Edge of Eternities' Surreal Spaces Bonus Sheet, which features reprints of powerful lands from across Magic's history. The original Inventors' Fair debuted in 2016's Kaladesh set, and has become a mainstay in artifact-heavy decks in multiple formats ever since.
