Microsoft is releasing the first preview of its Recall AI feature for Copilot Plus PCs today. After a series of delays, Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel can now install a new build of Windows 11 that includes Recall and Click to Do — a feature that’s very similar to Google’s Circle to Search.

Originally slated for release in June, the Recall preview was delayed multiple times as Microsoft addressed security and privacy concerns related to the feature. The new Windows Insider build also includes a preview of “Click to Do,” which offers AI ...

The feature comes with previously announced privacy-related changes, but for now, Recall is only available in a preview Windows 11 build for Qualcomm-powered Copilot+ PCs.

Microsoft is positioning its contentious Recall feature for Windows 11 as a headline capability for Copilot+ laptops. So it’s kind of weird that when the previously delayed tool went live, it only did so for x64-based machines and not Arm-based Snapdragon laptops that made such a splash earlier this year.
