A group of volleyball players and coaches files a lawsuit against the Mountain West, demanding that a San Jose State University player be declared ineligible for the conference tournament.

Two Boise State volleyball players have joined a lawsuit against the Mountain West, Commissioner Gloria Nevarez, and four San Jose State officials. The lawsuit pertains to a transgender athlete on San Jose State’s volleyball team and alleges violations of Title IX and the players’ First and 14th Amendment rights.

The volleyball players in the suit claim the matches forfeited due to the presence of Fleming should not count as losses because the women were simply exercising their First Amendment rights and the newly-enacted TPP should not have passed in the first place.
