U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized 200,000 counterfeit U.S. Forever Stamps at the inland Port of Birmingham in Alabama.

Nearly 162,000 counterfeit US “forever” stamps shipped from China were recently seized at a Chicago mail facility by US Border Patrol agents, authorities said.

The federal agency said it stopped eight shipments from China containing 161,860 counterfeit stamps. The stamps were seized for violating trademark laws and deemed fake "based on the very low invoice value, the routing, and the extraordinary efforts undertaken to conceal the stamps."

During an operation at a local sorting facility, CBP officers selected two packages for inspection based on specific criteria.
