UNIFI Inc., a leader in recycled and synthetic yarn production, will transition yarn production out of its Madison, North Carolina facility and place the property for sale in 2025

Unifi’s decision to close its Madison manufacturing facility is expected to cost up to 250 jobs there, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission late Wednesday.

Production activities at the facility will be consolidated to other Unifi properties in North and Central America.
