The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of North Texas until 12 p.m. Friday. Early Friday morning, the originally issued winter storm warning was canceled and replaced with the advisory.

Today is a FOX 26 Storm Alert Day in southeast Texas. Heavy rain will begin to move in midday with the heaviest rain expected later this afternoon into the evening. Models are showing 2 to 4 inches of rain possible in total and the highest amounts will likely be close to the coast.

A classic winter storm came across Texas bringing us some of the best kind of precipitation as in snow but for us, we saw more of the nasty side as in ice.
