Nintendo's obviously great at making Zelda games, but I'd like to see another studio take a crack at a Zelda game on the Switch successor.

As we noted in last week’s return installment of Best, Worst, Weirdest , Zelda broke with that basic tradition with 2013’s A Link Between Worlds, which dropped the whole idea of a steadily growing roster of tools,

Echoes’ take on Hyrule may feel a little empty compared to the vastness of Link’s most recent adventures in Tears of the Kingdom, but it’s cool to finally play as Zelda in her own proper game — just like it’s cool to save a few bucks on a newly released title.
