The New York Giants are expected to name Chad Hall their wide receivers coach a year after serving as assistant quarterbacks coach.

Tanney joins Broncos passing game coordinator and fellow former Giants quarterback Davis Webb as among the candidates new head coach John Harbaugh has reportedly sought to speak with for the team’s all-important offensive coordinator role. The Giants and Harbaugh have also reportedly requested to speak with Colts assistant coach Jim Bob Cooter.

Mike Kafka will interview with the Philadelphia Eagles, following his stint as the New York Giants' interim head coach.

The Eagles have interviewed former Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka for their offensive coordinator opening, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Kafka became the interim after head coach Brian Daboll got fired in November.

The Eagles are familiar with Kafka from his time as a player. He was Philadelphia’s backup quarterback in 2010 and 2011. After his short NFL career, Kafka joined former Eagles coach Andy Reid’s staff with the Chiefs. He spent four of his five years in Kansas City as the quarterbacks coach for Patrick Mahomes.

If the Philadelphia Eagles want to hire Jim Bob Cooter (whom they’ve interviewed twice), they might have some competition. The New York Giants are also talking to the Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator for their OC opening on John Harbaugh’s staff,
