Lahore's air quality has reached critical levels with an AQI of 1067, nearly 122 times above WHO guidelines. Defense Phase 8 records the highest AQI at 1853. Experts warn of severe health risks, advising citizens to limit outdoor exposure and use masks.

In light of the worsening pollution crisis, Lahore's administration has also taken a few emergency steps. Primary schools in several cities have been closed for a week, with parents advised to make their children wear masks.
