Last weekend, the Gamecocks won at Clemson — a ranked team — and moved up one spot in the CFP ranking. Alabama won over Auburn — a team that finished 5-7 — and was rewarded with a two-spot bump into the critical No. 11 position, the one that essentially would ensure a spot in the 12-team playoff.

The College Football Playoff committee ranked Clemson 17th and South Carolina 14th in its second-to-last ranking, which currently puts both of them outside of the top-12 teams that will qualify for the CFP bracket.

South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer isn't thrilled that his team moved up just one spot in this week's College Football Playoff rankings after their road win against the Clemson Tigers this past weekend.
