A judge in a Philadelphia court today declined to move forward with a case filed Monday by the city's District Attorney Larry Krasner alleging the Tesla billionaire and Donald Trump supporter's $1 million giveaways to voters in swing states is effectively an illegal lottery.

Elon Musk's $1 million-a-day giveaway to registered voters ahead of the U.S. presidential election is an "illegal lottery," a lawyer for the Philadelphia district attorney said at a hearing on Monday as a judge weighed whether to stop the contest.

Philadelphia District Attorney called the giveaway a "grift" and "one of the great scams of the last 50 years."
