Less than two days after Delta Air Lines offered $30,000 to each passenger on board the flight that crashed and flipped in Toronto on Monday afternoon, the company is facing its first two lawsuits in the incident — and they likely won't be the last.

The lawsuit alleges Delta and Endeavor Air were negligent, the flight crew failed to adhere to standard landing procedures and inadequate training and supervision contributed to the crash. Filed in U.

Delta said that claims spreading online alleging the captain and first officer had failed training events were false, and both crew members are Federal Aviation Administration-certified for their positions.

The passenger said being "suspended upside down" and "drenched with jet fuel" caused him "severe emotional distress and mental anguish."
