Originally grounded until late November due to licensing, SpaceX's fifth Starship test flight could take off as early as October 13.

The SpaceX Falcon 9 vehicle is authorized to return to flight for a planned mission scheduled to launch on Oct. 7 from a station in Florida, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said on Sunday.

The Federal Aviation Administration on Sunday announced it was approving just one SpaceX Falcon 9 mission, although SpaceX has submitted its mishap report into why the second stage from last week’s Crew-9 mission failed to hit its planned target on reentry.

SpaceX said in an announcement it might launch its Starship rocket out of Boca Chica, Texas as early as Oct. 13, pending approval from the FAA.
