The bail hearing for Chinmoy Krishna Das, a Hindu priest accused of sedition in Bangladesh, has been postponed to January 2, 2025, due to the absence of lawyers. ISKCON said that his previous lawyer was attacked and was in the ICU in serious condition.

A Bangladesh court on Tuesday deferred to January 2 hearing on the bail petition of Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachary on a government plea as no lawyer appeared on his behalf. Das, a spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote,
