Greenfield’s Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) program offers tax abatements to help offset the cost of improvements to property. All property in the Village of Greenfield has been included in a Community Reinvestment Area by action of Village Council in 2018.

The Village of Greenfield is accepting sealed bids for lease of ± 11 acres of agricultural land located in Ross County, Rapid Forge Road (Thrifton area) commonly known as Greenfield farm 4409, tract 7867.

Bids will be opened on March 13, 2024 at 12:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Village of Greenfield, Ohio. A purchase agreement will be executed with the highest bidder that meets or exceeds the minimum bid.

Currently the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is conducting a housing study for the Appalachian region, which will highlight the need for housing in the whole region. While Greenfield is a part of that region, Wilkin said the village should conduct its own study.
