On 10 Feb 1942, The Battle at Bukit Timah Hill began. After landing on the shores of Singapore, the Japanese headed towards Bukit Timah. Bukit Timah Hill was a strategic defence area as it oversaw the commanding view of the city and controlled the areas where the British housed their petrol, oil and supplies.
