Severe storms and strong winds caused significant damage in Steadville on Sunday (February 8), with several homes left without roofs after the storm. Ms Zwane from Steadville Area J said she is unsure of what to do next after her roof was blown off. She added that affected families were given plastic sheets as temporary relief, but residents fear that these will not be sufficient should heavy rains return. The Loskop Road between Thokozisa and Estcourt has been closed by the Department of Transport until further notice. Motorists are advised to use the alternative route via Winterton.
