The Louisiana State Police Transportation Safety Services (TSS) and our Air Support Unit recently participated in the Safe Drive initiative, a collaborative effort between states aimed at enhancing road safety on major interconnected roadways. The safety of all motorists will always be a priority to the Louisiana State Police. With this in mind, the Louisiana State Police and Shreveport Police Department participated in a speed enforcement detail this morning. The detail was conducted on Interstate 49 for only two hours; however, 137 total citations were issued to motorists.
