The incident occurred during a post-graduation trip when Robbins voluntarily entered the water from the vessel’s third deck after dark. Official reports from the Royal Bahamas Police Force concluded that he likely drowned. The sea conditions at the time were rough with strong currents, and he was not wearing a life jacket.
