I’m just finishing up this frankincense oil distillation. This one ran for 18 hours. I kept the heat lower at 10000 BTUs and iced the condenser for the first 10 hours. Slower heat and colder vapor changed the character of the oil. Cooler sharper and more defined on the nose. The heads hearts and tails will now rest for the next one to two weeks. After that they will be recombined into their final form. Distillation does not end when the fire goes out. Rest is part of the process. #SmokeWalkers #
