After selling his original Henderson Motorcycle company to Ignaz Schwinn in 1917, William Henderson started a second motorcycle company using his innovative four-cylinder designs. The Ace company was founded in an old Savage Arms building in Philadelphia and began producing motorcycles in 1920. Unfortunately for the motorcycle world, Henderson was killed in an automobile accident in 1922. Ace continued to operate until it was dissolved in 1924.
