The murder of 7-year-old Athena Strand shortly before Christmas 2022 horrified and outraged America. Now, her killer, FedEx driver Tanner Horner, has pled guilty as his trial was about to begin. Horner kidnapped Strand as she played outside her home. Just-released bodycam video shows police arresting Horner. He later led them to her body. Police allege that Shannon Tufuga made Collazo's son Kristopher get into her vehicle, drove him to the home and told him to apologize to her child for bullying her at school. Tufuga then drove Kristopher home, according to authorities. Tufuga is charged with kidnapping and aggravated child abuse. She denies all the allegations.
