This was our first time ever seeing a muskrat at our sanctuary! We didn’t even know we had them in our area. But it makes sense with our pond! Muskrats will make burrows in water banks. With all the recent rain our pond level is above usual so he may have gotten flooded out! As with all animals that cross our path, we try to do our best by them. We will send this guy over to a wildlife rescue to see if them can help him out, hopefully they can and when he recovers he will be released in the wild
